Minnie Mouse

My allergies have caused me to loose my voice, so much so that my husband laughed at me when I tried to talk this morning. When most women loose their voice they get raspy, sexy, jazzy voices. Not me. I turn into high pitched and squeaky Minnie Mouse. Aren't I the lucky one.

Luckily my office has been screening my phone calls for me so my clients don't have to take legal advice from a Disney character.

Jackets, Jackets, and More Jackets

Maybe it was the weather, but this weekend I was in love with spring jackets. I bought 2- I didn't even 'need' 1. But if given the opportunity, I could have easily bought 4 and loved every one of them. Yay spring!

The first one that made its way into my shopping bag was this cute trench from Banana Republic. It is so crisp and clean- it gave me an instant tailored look. I love it.

I can't find a picture of the 2nd one online which is too bad because it really is the cutest thing. It is a black leather jacket by Vince that I found at Neiman's. I'm not normally a leather jacket kind of girl- but this one- this one is fabulous and preppy! It is quilted like a Channel purse and has 3/4 length sleeves and a cropped, boxy cut. I think it will look great with everything from turtlenecks to cocktail dresses and I can't wait for this rain to go away so I can wear it.

Old Navy- Who knew?

I am loving Old Navy's new spring line. I haven't shopped in an Old Navy in years and yet something about their adds sparked my interest. I was so surprised at their bright fun colors and the overall palm beach preppy style that a lot of their spring line had. I scooped up a couple of things:

I plan on taking this dress to my seamstress to have the sleeves shortened to be cap sleeves. I think this has a cute Lilly-esque feel to it when paired with preppy bright jewelry and metallic flip flops or espadrilles.

I also picked up some cute bright summery jewelry like this necklace and a few of these bracelets in different colors.

This little slip was too cute and on sale. I couldn't pass it up.

Pretty Pretty Dress.

I just ordered this Diane von Furstenburg dress from Saks. If you like pretty dresses- get thee to a Saks or their online sale immediately! They just put a ton of cute things on major sale and I am so excited. I think this dress will be perfect for a friend's wedding that is coming up in September. I imagine it with a gold clutch and accessories. Oh yay! I hope it fits.

I have a number and J.Crew has it!

Oh J. Crew- it's like you crawled inside my mind and came up with the most fabulous spring wardrobe ever. Now if i only I could afford the entire spring line. For now, I'll just have to settle for some of my favorties:

I have the last cardigan in the happiest shade of yellow. It makes me feel like sunshine - spring you can't come fast enough!

6 Month Mark!

Today is our six month anniversary. I can't believe it has gone by so fast. Sorry Mom, my thank you notes aren't quite done yet -but almost. I know, I know, I'm an ungrateful spoiled child. I blame you for raising me this way. Just don't tell Grandma, she'll never forgive me.

Six months of wedded bliss have been amazing! An education about both Husband and myself- but an amazing one. I am so blessed.

Best Valentine's Day gift ever!

This way we get to learn Greek together in preparation for our big trip next year. He's so much more thoughtful than I am.
